Three Green Corridors

The Frome Valley Walkway is one of three key routes cared for by the Avon Frome Partnership. The AFP undertakes a number of projects and aims to:
  • Work with local communities and individuals to maintain and promote the heritage of the wider Avon and Frome corridors through events, innovative site interpretation and other activities.
  • Realise the potential of the three corridors for learning, supporting wildlife, improving the health of local communities, sustainable transport and attracting visitors.
The Partnership is funded by Bath & North East Somerset Council, Bristol City Council and South Gloucestershire Council. If you have ideas or suggestions please contact Paula Spiers, the Avon Frome Development Officer using the contact form.

ACCESS IMPROVEMENTS IN SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Chipping Sodbury Access Improvements

South Gloucestershire Council, supported by a generous funding donation
from the Chipping Sodbury Rotary Club, has completed access improvements to the Frome Valley Walkway on the Wickwar Road, Chipping Sodbury.

A historic pennant sandstone stile, which has for many years hindered
access to the path, has now been re-sited to allow full access to the
Frome Valley Walkway, whilst maintaining the historic character of the site.
